The XXI EGKF Goju-Ryu Championship is a prestigious karate tournament set to take place from September 10-14, 2025, in Timișoara, Romania. Organized by the European Goju-Ryu Karate Federation (EGKF) in collaboration with the World Goju-Ryu Karate Federation (WGKF) and the Romanian Karate Federation, this event will bring together top athletes from across Europe and beyond to compete in various Goju-Ryu disciplines. As a highlight of the Goju-Ryu karate calendar, the championship promises high-level competition, technical excellence, and a celebration of traditional martial arts values.
This championship is also a memorial event honoring Cristian Bogza, a beloved DC Member of both EGKF and WGKF, who tragically passed away in Mexico. Cristian was set to be appointed as Secretary General during the congress in Austria. His contributions to the Goju-Ryu community were immense, and his presence will be deeply missed. Our heartfelt condolences go out to his wife, children, family, friends, and the entire karate community.
